Reoccurring themes
Essential themes that reoccur within E. E Cummings poetry include nature, love, the experience of self, and mortality. Many compare his themes and content to transcendentalism, due to the fact that many of his poems follow the experiences of an individual. I believe he touches on these subjects, because they are the things we all experience. How can we go through life without love? Without death? Without dealing with society?
